"Eugene Miles Perry, the second son, was educated in the Wauwatosa high school and in the University of Wisconsin and is now engaged in the real estate business at Wauwatosa. He joined the army and was sent for training as a private to Camp Custer, Michigan, early in 1917. Later he was made a sergeant and went to France as a member of the Three Hundred and Fortieth Infantry. He was sent to an officers' training school at Langres, France, and was commissioned second lieutenant. "
